Mr. Sandman, give me a break.

8.03.2010

E-X-H-A-U-S-T-E-D. I can't even begin to explain the fatigue that has attacked and engulfed my entire body. As I'm writing this, I'm yawning. Go figure :) You see, I'm getting plenty of rest, and I still don't know why I repeat the phrase, "I'm SO tired" about 30 times a day. I probably think about this phrase 100 times over and over as well. I'm taking vitamins. I'm exercising 30 minutes a day. I'm sleeping well. Ugh, my mind is boggled.

In college, I'd stay up til 2, 3, or even later most days of the week. I had class from 8 to 2 most days, and then I'd work til 9 or 10. I'd study til the wee hours in the morning, and go to bed late again. And yes, I was tired.

BUT for some reason, going to bed at a decent hour, getting up at 7, and working from 8 to 5, having no homework, no kids...and I feel even MORE exhausted than I could have ever imagined I would be.

I just don't get it. I've tried energy drinks...and those make me sick to my stomach. I've tried coffee...and sometimes I can bare it, but I am simply just not a coffee drinker.

My B-12 is off, and I know this due to blood work. But I just have a hard time blaming my lack of energy due to low B-12 levels. I'm taking B-12 vitamins, and honestly, I feel no difference.

Does anyone have any advice or tricks for ENERGY!? I almost feel like it's a lost cause. How am I going to have kids one day if I'm already THIS tired?

  1. I get really tired certain times throughout the month (cough cough) and have to take iron pills because my iron levels get really low... maybe try that?

  2. I feel the same way, but I'm 32 weeks pregnant. Could you be? I know at the beginning I am always exhausted!
