When we finally made it to Fortuna, we made a big sigh of relief. We grabbed some McDonalds and found a cheap hotel to rest our poor little traveling bodies. Haha.
We woke up feeling exhausted rested, got dressed, and headed to the Avenue of the Giants.
We had so much fun. It literally felt like Twilight and Fern Gully mixed into one.
If you ever get a chance to go to the Redwoods in California, I highly suggest you go. It's beautiful.
wow! this is absolutely amazing! i'm not usually bowled over by nature, as i'm more of a city lover, but it's absolutely amazing to see how nature works sometimes. How cool is it that the tree realizes it's going to fall so it just grows limbs on one side?!
This sounds like such a fun trip! I've always wanted to see the redwoods:) I especially love your picture of all the green clovers! simply enchanting:)
Twilight was exectlay what I thought of looking at your pictures! My family went to the Redwood forest once a long time ago, and I soo bored becuase I was too young to appreciate it.
Hey there! I just found you through Jenni who had posted on Young and Fabulous, and saw that you're in my state! I remember visiting the Redwoods when I was younger, it was so beautiful. And fort bragg is next? I have lots of stories of when my hubster and I went there on vacation a few years ago! Nice to meet you, by the way. :-)
Ahhhhh, super jealous. I want to drive through a tree. I might suggest that Mr. A and I road trip it out to CA so we can experience this. It looks absolutely gorgeous and way peaceful.
I love it Shay! Matt and I have been wanting to visit Redwood! Great Pics!
