Ahhhhhhh, vacation. It doesn't come soon enough, and then when it does, it goes by wayyyy too fast.
We had the BEST time on our trip to Northern California. I am still recovering from the trip itself actually. I am so exhausted but it was so worth it. We did A LOT of driving, but we saw a lot, and had a blast!
I'm patting myself on the back because I survived turbulance and the actual airplane ride itself. I may or may not have been a big fat, anxiety ridden baby on the plane. The plane would shake, or make a noise and I'd jump, freeze, and squeeze the MESS out of Andrew's arm. There were kids all around me playing games, laughing, and smiling. Did it phase them? NO. I wish I had their lack of fear. Even though I found myself praying and praying the entire time, God was good to me. He took care of us.
We arrived in Sacramento at midnight and we were ready for bed. We got settled in at my best friends precious little townhouse and counted sheep.
We got up rather early, got packed up, grabbed some Starbucks and left for Mount Shasta, California which, according to Google Maps is is almost 4 hours NORTH of Sacramento.
We danced, sang, and talked the whole way there.
When we arrived...we saw this.
Oh, and we got a free SunDrop with our tank of gas. Rissy, I so thought of you. ;) Don't worry, we dropped it like it was hot IN the gas station. No lie.
We checked into our room and got acquainted.
We took our showers and got all dolled up for Jenny and Justin's rehearsal dinner. The weather was out of this world AMAZING. The air tickled your nose and it just felt ohhhh sooooo goood to be back in my old state.
Danielle was pimpin' all the lady rings. Can you spot mine?
I also want to note that Jenny was the most laid back bride I have ever EVER seen in my entire life. Just look at her... Cool as cucumber.
No bridezilla here. :) I just love her.
The ring bearer and the flower girl were too cute for words.
Want to see something precious?
She was a doll.
Bring it vacation, BRING IT! ;)
A little wine might have been involved. Don't judge.
My best friends. I love them with all of my heart.
It was soooooo great getting to see my girls.
The dudes.
Danielle and I in a nutshell.
I pretty much had the hottest date, ever.
We went back to the hotel after the rehearsal dinner and no pictures were taken. We all had a few more glasses of wine at the bar, and Danielle went missing and we couldn't find her. Jenny and I were walking down the hall so we could go to our suite down the road at the resort where they were getting married and we heard her yelling in some random room.
We knocked on the door.
Some random man answered the door with a terrified look on his face.
Man: "IS THIS YOUR FRIEND!?"
Us: "YES!!! What is she doing in here? Who are you!?"
Man: "I have no idea!? She was laying on the ground outside my door and when I opened the door she ran inside as fast as she could!?"
Us: "Omg!!! Danielle!!! Do you know this guy!?!?!?"
Danielle: "I want a Mac computer like his! No! I don't know him!?"
So we grabbed her as fast we could, apologized, and hightailed it back to our suite.
THANK GOD the random stranger was a gentleman and not some crazy serial killer.
We had a great night, and then headed to bed.
Jenny was getting married the next day.
Stay tuned. :)
