Heaven.

9.12.2012

About a month ago, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding in Riudoso, New Mexico.  While we were there, Drew and I were told to check out White Sands, New Mexico. We looked at the map and realized that it was about 1.5 hour in the opposite direction, which really meant we were going to have to add an extra 3 hours or so to the 10 hour drive already ahead of us. Hmmm...should we? Or shouldn't we?

It was already going to be a long day, so we did what two young and in love muffin heads would do. We said, "LET'S DO ITTTTTT!" (YOLO...jk. SLAP ME!)

Off we went, and after being stopped at a checkpoint (supposedly it's really close to the Mexico border, creeeeeppppyyyy) and only one U-Turn later...we ended up here.

Heaven, right?

Sand for days, y'all. I never even knew this place existed. I literally couldn't believe how beautiful (& HOT) it was. Apparently, this is where they tested out the first Nuclear Bomb too. Pretty cool, eh?

I am itching to find a bride to come out here with me one day. Could you imagine? White on white? Red lips? Ahhh. My little photographer brain was just going crazy. But, since I didn't have a bride with me, Drew and I decided to have our own little photo session because we're cool like that.

If you're ever in New Mexico, this is a must see. It is definetly one of the prettiest places I've ever been.

  1. If you two aren't the cutest couple known to man, I don't know who is. Seriously. And if I lived even remotely close, I'd take trains, planes, or automobiles to help you out with that shoot! YOU GO GIRL!
