GWS Feature with Westcott Weddings

9.24.2013

Last Spring I got an e-mail from a girl named Ellen who had just started her own wedding planning business in Austin. We met up for lunch and we hit it off immediately. She was so sweet, genuine and truly had a passion for her job, but she had no idea how to show people what she could DO without having the chance. She needed to build her portfolio and so we put our heads together and before we knew it, a styled shoot was in the works.

Ellen planned her entire wedding, and y'all...it was gorgeous. Every little detail, SHE made happen. You can see her wedding featured here. Go look...that's ALL her. Stunning right?

When Ellen asked me to photograph this shoot for her, I couldn't have been more excited. I truly believe in this girl y'all. She is so kind, so out of this world talented, and her attention to detail is flawless. The girl has a bright future, I have no doubt. Looking for a wedding planner? CHECK HER OUT. I promise you will NOT regret working with her. I mean that from the sincerest place in my heart.

When I showed up at Vaudeville in Fredericksburg...I knew it was going to be pretty...no doubt...but when I walked through the door, my jaw hit the floor. She thought of everything. Long hours, lots of DIY projects, orders from across the pond...every little detail was thought about. I really don't even need to say it but she knocked it out of the park. She brought in Erin with Rosehip Flora to do all the beautiful floral arrangements and OMG can you say SWOOOOON!? My camera and I were on Cloud 9. It rained on and off the entire day, but honestly, I think it helped with the mood of this shoot in so many ways. I'm so in love with the gem colors, the details, the florals, the well...gosh...everything!

Our shoot was featured HERE on Green Wedding Shoes yesterday. I am so excited. Here are some more photos to give you a little bit of a closer look.
