I'm wearing my birthday suit today!

1.17.2013

I didn't really plan on writing on the blog today because I didn't plan out this awesome birthday post, and I didn't have to reveal my fear of dying at a certain age like last year...

But, yes. Today I turn ... dare I even type it...Twwwwwweeennntttyyyy...gulp...SeVeN.

I'm three years away from THIRTY!?!?!? Seriously!? Didn't I just graduate high school and college yesterday!? Somebody hand me a Depends and a sack of moth balls! I'm OLD! ;) (Jk, kinda)

It is seriously unreal how fast time flies y'all.

Anyway, I am going to be celebrating today with DDHP. He's off of work today and he is spoiling me rotten.

Last night I was laying in bed watching Sons of Anarchy trying to drift myself into la-la land when Drew got up out of bed and said he was going to get a water. It was a little stuffy in the room so I asked for one too.

I was looking super cute too. Big, baggy t-shirt, no make-up, glasses, and toothpaste smothered all over my face. I mean, I looked GOOD if ya know what I mean.

Next thing I know, I hear, "Happyyyy Birthday to youuuu..." coming from the hallway by our bedroom door. DDHP had a piece of cake with a pink candle lit and he was smiling ear to ear.

He sang the song to me and then jumped on the bed screaming, "It's your birthday! It's your birthday!"

The dogs started barking like crazy and I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt.

It's seriously those small little things that make my entire life. He woke me up this morning with a bouquet of roses and breakfast burritos from my favorite hole in the wall in town. (They are SO good y'all!) I am so thankful for him.

Talking about being thankful...do you know my gorgeous, sweet, thoughtful and AMAZING friend Sabrina?

Well you should. She and I met via blogging back in 2010 and we have become incredibly close. She inspires me on a daily basis and last year she created THIS VIDEO for me. It had me in tears. Never have I seen something so thoughtful...

And this year she has done it again.

I cried, laughed, snorted, and kept saying, "OMGOSH" throughout the entire thing.

Have a look :)

The outfit. The cupcake. The Snow. The dudes in the background. All of it. Friend of a lifetime.

It's official. I am blessed with some amazing people in my life!

Do me a favor and treat yourself to a glass of bubbly, wine, a cupcake, Mexican food, Sour patch kids, and sweet tea for me! Make today a good one!!! :)

This stud muffin turned the BIG 2-6 on Saturday. Naturally, our weekend was full of fun festivities with family and friends.

On Friday, Andrew's parents and my Mom drove to Austin to meet us and we had dinner at OG (Olive Garden). Breadsticks, OG Salad and Lasagna rolls danced marvelously into our stomachs, and chocolate cake greeted us at Andrew's twin sister Ashley's apartment afterwards. My Mom, Andrew's two best friends Will and Cody, and Cody's girlfriend Jill also met us at our house later that night. We woke up on Saturday to boys who had been up until 6 a.m. playing Call of Duty.

They pretty much played it ALLLLLLLLLL day long and the ladies went shopping, #duh. Jill got me some PRECIOUS Guess bracelets for my birthday, Madi got me bag full of goodies (wine from Trader Joe's, a to-do list pad for my desk, a 52 dates book for drew and me, a scarf, a picture frame, and tons of other goodies!) & my Mom bought me a purse that I'm totally in love with. I think they might love me or something? :) One thing for sure is that I LOVE THEM! :)

When we got back from shopping...I came home to TWO TV's and TWO games of COD going on. I wish I could say I was lying, but I'm not. Talk about a total sausage fest.

We later had dinner at a local Mexican Restaraunt (love me some chips and salsa) and mexican martini's.

and thanks to my friend, Brian...we had a shot of patron. As you can see from this video below...this was not something I was too thrilled about. Alcohol and I don't mix well. HAHA.

After dinner, we went bowling and had a blast! Can you say dance party!?

The lady on the far end by me...that'd be my Mom. Yep, she rocks.

Today we got up, went to Cracker Barrel, back to IKEA, came home, said goodbye to my Mom and friends, took a quick nap, went grocery shopping, had ice cream and now I'm getting ready for a veryyyy busy week.

Did I mention DDHP and I are only three days apart? Yes...my birthday is tomorrow (the 17th)...and I'm pretty sure you will want to read my post tomorrow. It's not your typical birthday post. See you here tomorrow.

XOXOXO!

LOVE YOU GUYS!
