Megan's Bridal Shower

4.23.2013

Photobucket

I don't know if you remember, but back in December I had the opportunity to fly to Santa Barbara and attend my friend Megan's Wedding Shower. If you don't know Megan, go say hi! Her shower was recently featured on Wedding Chicks and her day was documented by the mega-talented Oz Visuals. Before you go any further, go here to check out the feature! I promise you won't regret it.

Now where was I?

Oh yes.

Megan.
She's a total babe.
She's got killer legs.
She's from LA but lives in Ireland and is planning on coming back to the good ol' USA very soon.
She's now married to a super sweet and studly Irishman named Stephen.
She's hilarious.
She's got legs for days. Wait, did I already say that?
She's beautiful.
She's got an MSC in Neuroscience.
Yes, you read that right.
She's in love.
What could be better?

I met Megan through this blog world a long time ago, and I was so happy and honored when I got her beautiful invite in the mail to attend this exciting time in her life.

Santa Barbara, CA?
Wedding Shower?
Megan?
Blogger Babes?

Count. Me. In.

I also got to meet a couple of other beautiful faces as you have probably seen around blog world such as Sabrina, Ashley, Michaela, Christine and Emily! Everyone had such a fun time, and Megan's bridesmaids Ahnika, Emily, and Allie put together the most AMAZING shower. Everything looked straight out of a magazine and the details were out of this world. Her bridesmaids put so much hard work, thought and time into making sure her shower was perfect, and it absolutely was! :)

Here are some photos I got of the shower, but PLEASE head over to Megan's blog first to see the her shower HERE and HERE that her super talented and sweet photographers shot (Oz and Allie) from Oz Visuals! :)

Enjoy! :)

4 Years.

3.28.2013

On this day four years ago, I got to walk down the aisle and marry my hot pants.

It was the best day...ever. I do remember having a panic/anxiety attack right before those doors opened, and by the way I was sobbing, people probably were thinking...

"Awww, she's crying...wait. That's sobbing. Wait ... is that a happy cry or a I don't want to get married cry!?"

Haha. I was an emotional mess that is for sure. It was in fact a happy cry because I couldn't believe that I got to marry that boy. In that moment I was so overwhelmed with what was about to happen and I couldn't even fathom that he was going to be my partner for forever.

Sometimes I still pinch myself and find myself just staring at him when he sleeps. That sounds creepy haha, but it's true. I just can't believe that he's mine. I really don't know why he loves me so much...but I am so thankful he does.

He is seriously the kindest, sweetest, most patient husband in the world. I know that this is SUCH a super cheese ball post and if you're rolling your eyes, that's cool too. I'll approve. But, if you know us together, then you know. You just know.

The feeling of knowing that you have that you found that permanent dance partner for life is the best feeling.

I love this life...even with all the craziness that accompanies it so often. It's because of him that life is beautiful.

I love you Drew. Happy Four Year Wedding Anniversary. I look forward to squeezing that sweet little bum of yours for the rest of our lives.

I love you.

I do. :)

:)

P.s.) Our new photography name reveal is tomorrow... We. Are. PUMPED!

Stephanie & Beau: Part II

9.28.2012

I must curse myself when I set deadlines for myself on the blog. Yesterday was so jam packed that I didn't have time to sign on to blogger. Go figure! :) However, I'm here today to finish up the lovely session with Stephanie and Beau! Whoohoo! :)

After we wrapped up our first location, we headed down to the Frio River. Y'all, this river is ah-mazing. It's crystal clear, clean, and COLD hence the 'frio' part. ;) I love that we got to take these photos here. I spent many summers here during my teenage years floating, soaking up the sun, and dancing the night away under the big Texas sky. :) It's a relaxing and magical place to be, that is for sure. It holds a special place in my heart filled with many memories, so you can imagine how excited I was to be spending my entire weekend there. I was so excited when Steph and Beau told me how much this place meant to them as well. If you haven't ever experienced a summer at Garner State Park, I highly suggest you do it. :)

This next spot y'all...wholy amazing trees! The best part is that Steph has always, always dreamed of having pictures taken under this tunnel of trees. She told me that every single time they visit, she says, "One day, I'm taking pictures of myself in my dress under these trees." And guess what? It happened. :) So excited for her and so happy I got to do this for her. :)

At the end of the session, I told Beau that it was time to get the garter from Steph. Little did she know I caught this on camera. I love them. They are just too much fun! :)
Then it was Steph's time for "bridals" and I have to say, I kinda...okay, REALLY love them.

Steph and Beau, thank you for letting me capture these moments for you two. It meant the world to me. I love you guys!

P.s.) When we were down by the river shooting these pictures, THE WORLD'S CUTEST, SWEETEST little boy came down to us, introduced himself, and "congratulated" Stephanie and Beau with brownies. HOW stinking cute is that!? MELT MY HEART.
