The Middle +

9.30.2010

Wow...I was just looking through old folders of pictures on my hard drive and Ohhh Myyy Looord. We have both changed SO much from the beginning (looks wise). I was a CHUNK (lol) and he was a BONE! Makes me laugh just looking at all 291038102910924028093 pictures. You think I'm exaggerating? Maybe, a little, but there are probably over 10,000 pictures of us. Easy.

Let's see...Andrew went to Texas A&M University, and I went to Sam Houston State University which are about 50 miles apart. Boy, did we blow up that road. We were long distance for a lot of our relationship, BUT it really didn't feel long distance at all. We saw each other atleast 3 or 4 times a week, and we switched off driving to and from. We would make late night trips randomnly and surprise one another, we'd meet halfway sometimes and see each other for 20 minutes just because we missed each other, and then we'd go back to our apartments and continue studying. We made it work. I loved hearing his truck pull up because it was LOUD, so I always knew when he'd get to my apartment, and do the last minute mirror check. ;)

Photobucket
For some reason, I can't get this image to be larger. Sorry :(

I remember one night, it was like 15 degrees outside, and I got the bright idea to surprise Andrew. My friends Jenni and Mandi drove with me to College Station at about 11 at night. We went to Wal-Mart and grabbed a fishbowl, a beta fish, and sticker letters. We went to McDonald's and put everything together, and then headed to Andrew's townhouse. I sat the fishbowl with the LIVE fish on Andrew's hood, and took off down the road. It was hilarious because we were trying to be quiet, but it seems that when you try harder to be quiet, you are actually A LOT louder.

Okay, you see, the plan was to put this fishbowl on the hood of his truck, leave, call him, tell him to go outside to his truck, and he'd see my "message". However, he didn't answer his phone. I called, Jenni called, we all called about 10 times, and no answer. I knew he was home, and so was his twin sister. So, I called her and THANK GOODNESS she answered. She was asleep, and told me Andrew was asleep too. So, I'm thinking OMG this poor fish is going to FREEZE to death!!! Hahaha. But fishy survived.

Ashley woke up Andrew, and he called me as he was walking down to his truck. When he got to it, he found the fishbowl.

It read, "You're the only fish in the sea for me."

Corny, I know. But like I said, it was random...and it was fun. We named the fish Bella, (this was before Twilight was even born), and she lived for a year and a half. :) RIP sweet Bella :)

Again, having sizing issues. And the Vegas pic is VERY fake. We took it in a booth while in Vegas for our 21st birthdays.

Needless to say, we had a lot of fun and were head over heels for each other. (We still are :))

So looking back I am reminded of this:

Marker Fights (I always won). Snowboarding Trips. Cape Cod. New Mexico. Picnics. Movies. Dinners. Couch Potatoes. Football Games. Softball games. Basketball games. Road Trips. Club/Bar nights. Baking. Car rides. Shopping Trips. Motorcycle Rides. House Parties. College Graduations. Christmas. Birthdays. Concerts. Las Vegas. New Hampshire. Century Tree. Long walks. Hospital Trips (lots of them). Float Trips. Snow days. Kisses. Hugs. Laughing. Living. Loving.

We dated from June 27, 2006 to March 14th, 2008...The day we got engaged :)

Stay tuned :)

The Beginning +

9.29.2010

Pull up a chair and get comfortable. This could take awhile. ;)

I have NO idea how I'm going to be able to sum this up, because I am terrible at summing anything up. Ask my old teachers. "Please sum up this story in one paragraph." Ha, yeah right. More like two paragraphs, or three...or four? :) I'll do the best I can do.

In May of 2006, I was playing around on MySpace. Remember that website? Haha, it's "ancient" now right? Actually, that reminds me, I need to delete mine. Anywho, I was about to leave a comment on my friend Tamara's page when I saw this HUGE WHITE SMILE hangin' out in her "Top 8." <---That just made me giggle.
Photobucket
This is the picture that caught my eye. & Yes, I saved it. :)

I immediately was like, "Okay, WHO is this guy? He is HOT!" I decided to be BOLD...something I'm not good at with boys, and wrote, "Hey Tamara, introduce me to Andrew haha..." HOPING he would see it, and then I don't know what. LOL. I had never done anything like that before, and to this day, I don't know what made me do it. I'm just thankful I did.

Fast forward to a few weeks earlier: My friend Tamara had told me about her biology partner at A&M. I went to school at Sam Houston State University, but Tamara and I had grown up together our whole lives in a very, VERY small town. She had mentioned about how goofy he was, and how much he reminded her of me. I didn't think much of it, and went along with my business.

I finally talked to Tamara and asked her who this "Andrew" was. She laughed and said, "Shay! That's my biology partner! The guy I told you about...Remember!?" I didn't know what to say, except I prayed he would want to talk to me. I didn't want to look like an idiot putting that out there, and then "insert cricket noise here." BAM in yo face! Ugh, I was sick to my stomach. Should I delete the comment? Or just leave it?

Okay, so a few days go by. Not a word from him. I just went about my days and didn't think too much about it. Until...

Photobucket

Finally, Drew writes RIGHT above my comment. Burnnn right? So, immediately I'm thinking, "Well, that sucks. LOL..." and figured he'd seen my picture and thought "HELL TO THE NO!" :)

Wrong. That next morning I get a message from Andrew. :) It says, "Hey, you look real familiar...Where do I know you from?" HAHA, nice pick up line right? NEVER met this guy before...because if I had, I would have never stopped thinking about him. He was gorgeous. His smile was out of this world amazing. There was NO way he'd be intersted in a gal like me.

We continued to message back and forth, using Tamara as our common ground. Messaging went from AOL messaging, to exchanging phone numbers...We texted and talked for days. I can't ever remember feeling THAT giddy about anyone. Sure, I had loved before him, and I was still getting over a 4 1/2 year relationship, dating here and there, but nobody had EVER made me feel this way. I sent him pictures of me, which I think sealed the deal.
PhotobucketPhotobucket

TOTALLY KIDDING. I did send them to him as a JOKE and said..."Here is what I DON'T look like." He said, "GOOD! I don't like Britney Spears anyway." :)

I was completely, and utterly to the millionth degree IN-freakin-fatuated with this guy. He was kind, hilarious, and he could make me smile. Thinking about it right now makes me want to go kiss him...be right back...

Okay, I'm back. :) Anyway, we decided to meet and I was SO nervous. I drove to College Station from Huntsville and had Tamara come with me. We decided to meet at Casa Ole' at the mall because it was close to his work and he had taken a late lunch because I WAS LATE getting into town. Naturally.

I call him as we are about to get by the mall, and he picks up. I asked where he was, and he says, "Actually, I think I'm right behind you." I turn around and he is waving SO BIG and with so much excitement it made me laugh! I knew right then and there that he was perfect. I love the memory of that first moment. Him waving through the windshield of his little Ford Ranger, holding the phone, smiling from ear to ear, and waving. It was absolutely precious.

We get to the mall, and we park on different rows. I'm freaking out, doing the, "OMG! What if he thinks I'm fat? What if he doesn't like me!?" and I step out of the car. I see him, he sees me, and we give each other a huge hug. I remember my heart was about to come through my chest.

We go to lunch, and because I took forever to get there, he had to leave early. He gave me a hug, told me it was great meeting me, and that he would call later. I felt so bad though because he had to leave before he got his food. Poor guy didn't get to eat lunch.

SO, after Tamara and I left the restaurant, I asked her to drive me to Taco Bell. She immediately was like, "What? Shay! We just ate! LOL!" I said, "I know, but he didn't and I feel so bad. I was on the phone the other day on his lunch break and he was in the Taco Bell drive thru. He said he loved their soft tacos and Dr. Pepper." So, I ordered just that, and I went to his work. I saw this guy pushing around a cart (He worked at Sams Club lol) and I asked him if he knew Andrew. He said yes, so I made him pinky PROMISE me that he'd make sure he got the food and that he wouldn't eat it! The guy promised. I told him I knew where he worked. ;) Haha, but turns out the guy kept his promise.

About an hour later, which felt like forever, I get a text from him saying Thank you and how sweet I was. He couldn't get over what I did, and wouldn't stop telling me how much he enjoyed meeting me.

Scoreeeeeeeeee! :)

So, we went on another double date with Tamara a few days later.

Long story right? Told you. But I can't leave out details.

The next date we went to Cheddars (yummmm) and played Putt Putt. Afterwards, we went to the gas station. I was sitting in the front with Tamara, and Andrew was sitting in the back. All this time, I'm still not 100% sure if he really likes me, or what. He said he did, but I still was insecure, and had my mind set that he didn't want me. There was just no way.
Photobucket
On one of our first dates :)

Tamara gets out to pump the gas...and Andrew *coughs* and says, "So, I'm kinda lonely back here." I just smiled in confusion at him. What was he trying to say? He then scoots to the middle of the car, and pats the seat, *coughs*, and says it again. Tamara hops in the car at this time, and he says, "Come sit by me." I didn't know what to say, except, "What? You want me to sit by you?" OF COURSE HE DID!? He just told me that. I'm an idiot.

So, I hop out and go sit next to him. He scoots over like something you'd see in a movie and smiles. Seriously, I had never experienced giddiness like this. Was it possible that a guy was THIS precious?

Photobucket
On one our first double dates. Being goofballs.

We go to this drive-in snow-cone place and Tamara starts to order. The window is halfway cracked open so I could tell the guy what kind of snow-cone we want. Andrew points to the window crack and says, "What's that???" I turn my head to look at the window and as I turn my head back towards him to say, "What?" Andrew leans in quicker than lightening and plants a small little kiss on my lips.

I was frozen. He started laughing, and turned red. I turned red and started laughing.

Did he seriously just do that? It was without a doubt, one of my most favorite moments...ever.

Our first "kiss" :)

We finally got to the point we were comfortable enough to go on a date, just the two of us. We went to see Nacho Libre a few days later and went and got ice-cream. So romantic right? Haha.

About a month later (June 27th, 2006), I had just got back from a trip with my family. I didn't get back til' late, so I didn't get to his house until 11:00 at night. When I got there, he had Sour Patch Kids and orchids (my fav) waiting for me.

We talked and cuddled on the couch, and he leaned in and kissed me.

He then, grabbed my face and asked, "Shalyn, will you be my girlfriend?"

I nodded yes, and the rest is historyyyy.

Well, I guess if I had to summarize it in one sentence: We met kinda sorta through a mutual friend.

What's the fun in that? I find the small little details much more interesting. :)

I'll be doing a photo dump in the next post with some of my favorite pictures from the "dating" period of our relationship. :)

Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)

Today is my husband and my 1 & 1/2 year wedding anniversary :) In celebration of this, I've decided to devote my posts for the next week or so (however long it takes) to Mr. Nelson and me.

How we met, our engagement, weddings showers, bachelorette party, and THE BIG DAY! :) I love repeating these stories because well, they were the days I will remember for the rest of my life. That, and I haven't talked about any of it on my blog yet:)

I still can't believe I've been married for a year and a half! It feels like 10! Haha, JUST KIDDING.

I'm seriously the happiest girl in the whole world though. Knowing I have him to wake up to and to come home to is reason enough to never stop smiling, even when I'm having a "blah" day like today.

Well, I guess that's all my ramblings for now.

Look for my post on the beginning of "The Nelson's" tomorrow.

Have a Happy Tuesdayyy! :)

P.s.) Today was a sad day for the Longhorn Family. Please keep them in your prayers.

I'm still pinching myself.

9.26.2010

Warning: The following story is really long, full of long run-on sentences and grammatical errors... BUT I think it's well worth reading. Let's just say my husband is absolutely the most wonderful man in the entire world! :)

I honestly can't even put into words how amazing this weekend was. Why am I still pinching myself? Well, keep reading and you will find out.

First off, my computer right now says 64 degrees. I mean, really TEXAS? REALLY!? If I could, I'd hug mother nature right now. I told Drew that I wanted to sleep outside in a tent it feels THAT good...if only we had a tent :)

Okay, so Friday was great. We had a date night...we did a little shopping, went and ate at Chili's, and then came home & watched Date Night. Haha. Such a cute movie; I totally recommend seeing it. Then I went to bed, and let's just say I didn't get much sleep. I think I got a small dose of food poisoning because I couldn't keep anything down. So, most of the day Saturday I spent sleeping off a stomach bug. Fun stuff, right? Wrong. I was totally out of it, and hated that my Saturday was a complete waste UNTIL...(Here is where it gets GOOD!)...

I knew hubs mowed the lawn, and I heard him playing his NFL Madden game most of the day, but at one point he told me he was going to run to Home Depot to return an item we bought, and to get something or another to fix something (I wasn't completely listening haha, but I knew he said he had to go to Home Depot, etc. whatever.) He also said he was going to H-E-B to get some Sprite and crackers (I heard that part haha) so I just snuggled back into bed and continued to count sheep.

Also, one of my friends from work was having a going away party that night because her husband got a job in San Francisco so I was trying to feel better in order to go. Hubs came home and asked if I still wanted to go, and I said yes, even though when he asked me I was leaning over the bed...and ya know. Well, after I had some Sprite and crackers, I felt somewhat better and moved myself to the living room. I then fell asleep again on the couch. I heard hubs cooking, but that's about it. About two hours later...(if you are still reading, thank you! I can't ever shorten my stories, sorry!)...

I wake up. Lights are off. Candles are lit. And he is sitting next to me kissing my forehead. He hugs me, asks me how I'm feeling, and surprisingly I'm feeling better. He says, "Jenni called, go check your phone." I'm totally thinking, "Why can't you just bring me my phone!?", but I get up and grab my phone. The background on my phone is a picture of a note that says, "Hi sweetie. I hope you are feeling better. Come join me at the table for a meal."

He's standing in the kitchen and so we eat and all that good stuff. I'm asking him what was up with the note on the phone and all he said is, "You'll see!" SO I'm totally loving this, but I'm also still in my PJ's (it's about 7:00 at night lol) and looking like I got hit by an 18 wheeler and then slept with the pigs. :)

After dinner, he says, "Dessert is in the freezer."

I then go to the freezer and on top of my FAVORITE Blue Bell ice-cream is a note that says, "You're next clue is sweeter than this. Go potty!?" LOL, so random right? But everytime it's potty time for the dogs we say, "Go Potty!?" over and over again and the dogs get all excited and run to the door. So I laugh, of course, and go outside.

Wrapped around the tree is the next clue. There are about 4 more clues all around the house, and the last one ends up on Piper's collar. It reads "Hi Mom! Dad sure does love you. What is something you deserve, something you've been wanting & saving up for for a long time, and something that is going to make you pee your pants!? Proceed to the spot you have been in all day." SO automatically, I know it's the bed.

I run to the bedroom...and there is nothing on the bed. So, I'm thinking, "Huh?" and hubs is just standing there smiling. He says, "Well you gotta LOOK for it honey."

I look under my pillow...and O...M...G...

THE most beautiful thing sat before me. I didn't know whether to cry, scream, or jump for joy...so I did it all at the same time.

It read, "All because I love you and I believe in you. Now go and knock em' dead sweetie."

I got it. My Canon 50D.
Photobucket

I STILL cannot believe it is in my hands, and that it is ALL mine. This precious baby slept with me last night. All night. I haven't stopped staring at her. I didn't know I could LOVE a camera this much.

My Mom showed up the next hour and surprised me. I totally thought she was coming in today (Sunday) but instead she decided to drive in and surprise me! I felt so bad though because I didn't get to go to my friends going away party. The rest of the evening I spent catching up with my Mom and playing with my new best friend (Miss Canon).

Today was awesome. I felt good, I went to a crafts show with my Mom, the weather was absolutely GORGEOUS, the Cowboys beat the Texans, we went to a movie with my brother and his girlfriend, then out to eat for Mexican food (my fav) and then for frozen yogurt afterwards.

All in all, my weekend was absolutely perfect...minus the getting sick part. I have the most wonderful husband. I love him so much...and I couldn't be any more thankful. I am blessed beyond words. I mean, just look at him.

Best Wifey Award or Stupidest Wifey Award?

Photobucket

It's been awhile since I surprised Mr. Nelson, so I decided today was the day. All I have been hearing about is HOW BAD he wants the new 2011 Madden NFL game. First of all, he plays PS3 alllll the time...and I let him, because well he's a guy, and he deserves his "man" time. I blog, he plays PS3. We are both happy. The end.

BUT Sometimes he plays it til' the wee hours in the morning (mostly weekends), and even though he tip toes into bed and tries to be quiet so I won't hear him, I do. I will pry my eyes open and peek at the clock so I will know what time it is.

The next morning our conversation pretty much goes like this:

Mrs. Nelson: Good morning sweetheart.
Mr. Nelson: Morning baby.
Mrs. Nelson: How did you sleep?
Mr. Nelson: Really good. You?
Mrs. Nelson: Mmm, okay I guess. What time did you end up coming to bed last night? (even though I already know)
Mr. Nelson: Eh, not sure. It wasn't too late though.
Mrs. Nelson: You sure about that, hun?
Mr. Nelson: Around 2 maybe?
Mrs. Nelson: 2 huh? (smiling)
Mr. Nelson: Yeah.
Mrs. Nelson: Are you fibbing?
Mr. Nelson: Maybeeee.
Mrs. Nelson: I'm surprised to see you are actually up this early considering it was 4:00 when you got to bed.
Mr. Nelson: What? (smiling) How do you know that?
Mrs. Nelson: I know everything, honey. You know this. ;)

Okay, so back to my story. I asked my boss if I could leave work a few minutes early so I could run to the store and buy the game, come home, get it in the PS3 in place of the NFL 10' Madden Game that he's played over a million times, and when he would turn it on later to play tonight, he'd be surprised :)

I text him and asked him to go pick up our duvet cover from the cleaners when he got off work to buy me some time. I then drove to Target as fast as I could, bought the game, and then called him at 5:00 and pretended I was headed home. I get home, I take out the old game, and put in the new one and then...CRAP. I didn't know how to work the thing. I started punching every button on the remote control, because I knew he'd notice the blue light indicating it was on. It had to be RED or he'd know, so I played and played with the buttons, and FINALLY after about 20 minutes of "CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!" I got it to turn off. 5 minutes later, my stud muffin got home, and I kept it cool. ;)

We had to go run some errands around town, and it was so cute because he goes, "Babe, can we go to Game Stop to see how much the game is there?" And I say, "Can it wait til' tomorrow? I'm tired, I have a million things to do when we get home, and I thought we were trying to save $$$?" "Okay :(," he says while turning up his lip. I felt so bad, but I knew he would turn his frown upside down in just a few minutes.

We get home, I proceed to the kitchen to feed our furbabies, and I hear him grab the "game" chair out of the closet. I tried peeking around the corner to see his reaction, and after a few seconds, I hear, "Huh? WHAT? 11??? SHALYN!!!!" I peeked my head up from the kitchen area like a mole in a hole would, and all I see is him standing up, smiling from ear to ear, and then he started dancing and tapping his feet (no joke, it was cute I swear). He ran up to me and said, "YOU LITTLE BUTTHEAD! I LOVE YOU! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!!" Then he ran back to the living room, still smiling, looks at me, and says, "Seriously, I love my wife...I'm gonna name a player after you." That made my day.

He is a happy camper right now, and I can hear him downstairs right now playing away...I just hope I don't regret this decision later. ;)

Free FALLin' # & I've been tagged! :)

Okay...Yes...I have to...I'm sorry, I just have to!

(_|_)(_\_)(_|_)(_/_)(_|_)(_\_)(_|_)(_/_)(_|_)

Okay, I feel so much better now. It's officially FALL so THE booty dance was completely in order! :)

I love FALL! It is by far my favorite season. It still isn't the temperature I desire, but I have noticed a slight difference in the air, the acorns in my backyard are falling, and I've noticed a change of color in the leaves. Sometimes I wish I could live on the East Coast or somewhere up north during this time of year.

Back in College, I went to Philadelphia for a PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) conference in October. The weather was absolutely beautiful! I remember the color of the leaves, the crisp cool air...UGH I wish I could bring that to Texas RIGHT now!

Anywho, I don't have much to say today since life is pretty much work, eat, sleep, & repeat. Although, last night I had dinner plans downtown with an old friend from elementary and junior high. It's restaurant week in Austin, so we had reservations and all that fun stuff. It was really nice catching up on the past 10 years or so, and the food was really good!

Also, AMBER from The Survival Guide For The Young, Fabulous, & Newlywed tagged me to answer 8 questions, so here I goooo:

1) What is your favorite thing about being in a relationship with your boyfriend/fiancé/spouse?

This is actually a really hard question to answer because there are SO many things I adore about our marriage. He is one of the sweetest, most caring individuals I've ever met. Our relationship is absolutely wonderful. I love that we are able to be husband and wife, as well as best friends. I'm not trying to brag I swear, but we understand each other so well. I think one of my favorite things about being in a relationship marriage with my husband is that we always have fun together, and that we communicate so well with each other. I love our love. It's so real and one of a kind. He is my best friend.

2) If you could go anywhere in the world for an entire week with your girlfriends, where would you go and why?

Well, since I've never been and have been wanting to go foreverrr, I'd say NYC. There is so much to do, so much to see, and it's electric even in pictures...I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to actually visit. Hopefully one day :)

3) What persona were you in high school: Miss Popular, The Sporty Girl, The Book Worm, Etc.

Hmmm...I'm really bad at answering questions about myself because I hate coming off like I am this, or that, blah blah blah. But I like to think that I was pretty well rounded. I tried (atleast I believe I was) to be nice to everyone and had a lot of friends, I played volleyball, basketball, and softball, and I also made good grades. So, I guess I was a mixture of all the above :)

4) Have you ever been stereotyped in any way? What did you have to do to overcome that stereotype – or are you still struggling with it?

Hmmm, I really don't know. Maybe? I'm sure we all have been at one point in time. I guess I could have been stereotyped as a goody goody pageant girl growing up, but I never was stuck up or a prude. Moving to California helped me become more laid back and open my eyes from the small little town I grew up in. I've always been told I'm a people person, so I hope that I never get stereotyped in a bad light.

5) What’s your favorite song of all time?

I don't have one (GASP) I know! I change my mind so often, once something becomes my favorite, I play it over and over again, and eventually I get tired of it. I like the music though that is on my blog :)

6) What’s your favorite holiday and why?

I'm gonna say Valentines Day :) I love LOVE, and I love all the corny valentines gifts and decorations. Call me cupid baby! ;)

7) If you could change one thing about yourself (body, personality, abilities, etc) what would it be and why?

If I could change ONE thing about myself, it would be to not care what other people think. I've come along way and still struggle sometimes, but it drives me nuts when people have a bad perception of me because I know I'm a good person in and out. I've just come to realize that MEAN PEOPLE SUCK! That is all. :) I'd also like thicker hair &&& smaller boobs :) Haha.

8) What is something that makes you feel incredibly feminine?

I guess I would say lotions/perfumes, dresses, and high heels. :)

Don't you love how the first thing out of a husband's mouth is "How much?"...Whyyy can't it be "SURE HONEY! WHATEVER YOU WANT! :)" Hahah, I wish.

I really REALLY hope I can get tickets! :)

2. Doggles. Precious am I right? Hubs' co-worker bought these for my little furbabies. As you can see, they love them :) I def. have the coolest dogs ever :)

3. Glitzerland. I just bought this, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE. It's very chic :) I've already got compliments on them today...I'm really not sure if it is because of the color, or because I actually painted my nails. Either way, I love it! :)

4. Lime-Green Spidey. Hubs went to his deer lease this weekend to help his Dad put up a new feeder. His Dad and him were riding around on their "Gator" and CREEPY green spider was right behind Drew's shoulder... SICK, GROSS, kinda pretty, but still nauseating. I hate Spiders. And what does Hubs do? He picked him up on a leaf and set him down on the ground. He didn't kill it because he said it was too pretty. Gives me the chills... that thing is still on the loose. Anyone know what kind of spider this is?

5. Painted. Yesterday I painted our doors and walls in our hallway. Fun stuff :) I will post pics soon.

6. Staycation. Siiiiigh. This weekend was so great. I went to bed early on Friday. Woke up at 9:30 on Saturday...(hubs was gone when I woke up but I vaguely remember him kissing me on the forehead at 6 a.m. as he took off to the deer lease). (I love him). Oh, what did I do? I made some coffee, read a chapter in my book, played with my pups, caught up on some DVR'd shows...and then cleaned house, played on the computer, took a longgg bath, organized, did some laundry, mopped, and swept. Even though cleaning isn't considered fun, for some reason, it relaxes me. When I'm stressed? I clean. When I'm mad? I clean. When I'm sad? I clean. It's weird, but I love to clean.

8.Date Night. Hubs and I went out to eat, and then went to see "Easy A" on Saturday night. I absolutely recommend seeing this movie. Yes, it takes place in high school, and probably appeals to the more high school-aged peeps, but seriously, I loved it. The humor, the actors, the storyline...I want to see it again! And I also LOVED the soundtrack :)

9. He's the best. Sooo, I have to say, my husband, without a doubt is the best. So what if I'm biased...But really? Who's husband would do this?...I painted my toes teal on Saturday, and they already started chipping by Sunday...and since I had my pretty new OPI Glitzerland on my nails, I wanted my toes to match. I had actually just painted my nails (still wet), so I didn't want to smudge them by taking off the old paint on my toes. And what does he do? He takes it off for me :) He's so cute :)

Please excuse my weird huge and deformed looking foot. It looks like the jolly green giant here. (Who knew that feet had a bad angle!?)Haha!

Guess that's about it...my weekend also was consumed by football, pizza, more cleaning, and cuddling on the couch. All in all, my staycation rocked! :) Have an awesome Mondayyyy!

bit. of. RaNdOmNeSs. for. YOU.

Last night's dinner was a success. It was so good, even though I was missing a few ingredients. We had Cheesy Chicken Dorito Casserole.

If you are looking for a quick, and easy recipe like I always am, please try this. Your tastebuds will thank me :)

DORITO CHICKEN CASSEROLE

4 Chicken breasts, cooked, and chopped
(I boiled chicken breasts on my stove for an hour, the chopped it up)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup (Did not have, and did not use)
1 carton sour cream (Did not use)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Nacho-cheese flavored Doritos (crushed)
Grated Cheddar cheese
1 onion, chopped
1/2 c. milk (Did not use)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can green chilies (Did not use)

As you can see, I did not use a lot of the ingredients lol, and it still was good! :) There are lots of recipes online with other ingredients like Rotel & Velveeta, etc.. I def. plan on adding that in next time :)

Combine all ingredients, pour into casserole. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

I did not take a picture last night (sorry), but here is one I pulled from the web. It looked a lot like this:

Anywho, moving on...LUH-HUVED Gossip Girl and 90210 last night! Ah, my heart is happy. Tonight, One Tree Hill is back! I am suuuuuper excited! I feel like a LoSeR for even being excited, but what-ev. :) :) :)

I also want these boots from Nine West.

Sure, they have the 'equestrian' feel to em, but I adore them. The question is...Black or Brown!?

Now to important things...
Top 2 Things You Would Like to Accomplish This Year...

1. Get my business off and running!

I'm in the process of getting my business plan together. I don't want to elaborate just yet, because well, there is still A LOT going on, and this process is completely OVERWHELMING! I love it though, and the excitement thrills me! I will be sharing more on this soon.

1. Join a gym.

Living in an apartment spoiled me last year. The gym is included...and now that I have a house...Let's just say I've gained some stupid-omg-i-hate-you-weight fluffy-ness to my figure. I know we are about to join, but hubs and I are having a hard time deciding which gym to join. There is one close to our home, but it's small, and doesn't have classes. I think having classes are one of my "must haves" because well, if you go, you pretty much are guaranteed a good work out! Right? :)

Any suggestions? We've been leaning towards Gold's or 24 Hour Fitness.

Make your day lovely, lovelies :)
